Grapple Saw Crane Clears 15+ Trees for Mountain View in Chattanooga

This was a view clearing job in Chattanooga - and a big one. The goal was straightforward: take out 15+ trees blocking a mountain view. Simple enough concept, but the execution required the right equipment and a crew that knows how to use it safely near a home.

That's where our new grapple saw crane comes in. If you've never seen one work, here's the short version - the crane arm reaches up into the canopy, the grapple clamps onto the trunk, and the saw cuts cleanly through it. The machine controls the fall the entire time. No guessing, no hoping it lands right. The tree goes exactly where we want it.

Working this close to a house, that level of control matters a lot. Traditional felling isn't always an option. The grapple saw lets us work efficiently without putting the home or the crew at unnecessary risk. It's a cleaner process from start to finish.

This was phase one. We cleared the trees needed to open up the sightline and getting ready for homeowner to build on to their house in the back. Phase two will focus on pruning additional trees further down the hillside to push that mountain view even further. When it's all said and done, this property is going to have a completely different feel from the back when they add on to their house.
