From our perspective these were huge and knew it was going to take some highly skilled professionals to remove them without damage to the house and property. I called three different companies in the Chattanooga area and received much of the same diagnosis but with different prices. That’s to be expected. First one I called had just finished a massive job down the road and met Richard for the first time and was impressed then and there. Richard spent time with me in much discussion about the trees that ultimately were removed. He pointed out some alternatives to the removal but it ended up that I decided on that. Cut several trees from our backyard, cleared up privet and wild brush, plus removed an old chain link fence the previous owners installed forty years ago. They removed 3 trees hanging over my house last year, and when a tree broke recently and a large limb came down on my roof - in a precarious position - they got it down in careful pieces and cleaned up the yard afterwards. They had to go up in a bucket to safely get it down. I highly recommend them, both for sound advice and excellent service. I'm already planning what they will need to do next summer! Another plus in my book was when they discovered a nest had come down of very tiny squirrels last summer, they had wildlife rescue here before the day was done."

"You get what you pay for… not true in this case, you get so much more. Tldr: tasks accomplished, safety maintained, debris removed, quote honored. The longer version: a tree fell on my mother's house. I called several tree businesses to get quotes but Southern Valley Tree Care was lower than the others, but why? Do they cut corners like say they will do something and then find a reason to change what you expect? No, they did all as promised and explained during price quote. Do they ignore safety? No, they appear to be very safe, from earplugs, safety lines, hands free communication systems. Did they leave a mess for me to clean up? No. They stacked some for firewood, put some in woods out of the way, and hauled off the rest. Could I have done the work myself, maybe, with a few weeks I might accomplish what they completed in a morning. The longest part in the process was setup. Lines ran from surrounding trees, pulleys, safety lines. When the work actually started it was a wonder to behold. The way limbs were removed, the tree raised, swung off house, then lowered to the ground for final cuts, it all happened very fast. Debris was removed before all of the lines and pulley could be taken down. A few months later I hired them to remove a tree and a brush pile from all of my DIY tree work. They brought their chipper and turned 5-6 years worth of unburned brush pile and a dying tree into a trailer load of mulch they hauled off. At my house, the property is much tighter, but they didn’t get into the neighbors yard at all. I don’t know what they said across their helmet walkie-talkie system, but I never heard any of them cuss."
